Nearly ten years ago, Michael and I were in France for my 30th birthday. It was then, as we ate a baguette et fromagè (baguette and cheese) and drank some amazing rouge vin (red wine) in an empty block of land in a suburb of Bordeaux that we decided we wanted to live and experience France "for real".
